Mountain rescue teams help 16 walkers

It has emerged that 16 people, including one family of five and an experienced group of walkers, were rescued yesterday from mountains in Co. Wicklow.

Extreme weather conditions combined with very high water levels in rivers contributed to the emergencies arising.
