Bruton: Aviva losses a 'painful legacy' of collapse

The Jobs Minister Richard Bruton has said the Aviva decision to cut almost 1,000 jobs is a "painful legacy" of the economic collapse.

The insurance company told staff this morning that the workforce at its Irish operations will be reduced by 950.
