A teenager from Donegal has died after he was found with serious head injuries in Derry yesterday.

A teenager from Donegal has died after he was found with serious head injuries in Derry yesterday.

Nineteen-year-old Caolan Page from the village of Carrigans, Co Donegal, was discovered unconscious outside a licensed premises in Derry in the early hours of yesterday.

He was taken to Altnagelvin hospital in the city in a critical condition. His death was announced by police today.

Officers are still investigating the circumstances of the fatal incident on Magazine Street and have not released further details about how the injuries were sustained.

Caolan was from the Upper Kildrum area of Carrigans.

Police in Foyle have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
