Health Minister James Reilly will today open a Dublin clinic for young people with congenital heart problems.

The centre has been funded by donations, and does not enjoy any support from the Government.

It will be located at the Mater Hospital, and will cater for young adults who are no longer in the care of children's hospitals, but might need more support than an adult hospital offers.

The clinic has been named after the late heart surgeon Maurice Nelligan.
