€440,000 worth of prescription drugs seized in Dublin

A man has been arrested after gardaí seized €440,000 worth of prescription drugs in Dublin.

Officers from the Garda National Drugs Unit and Tallaght made the discovery of tranquilisers in Tallaght, after receiving intelligence.

A van was stopped and searched at about a 2.15pm today on the Blessington Road in Tallaght.

Some 20,000 Dalmane tablets and 180,000 Zopiclone tablets were discovered.

A 42-year-old Dublin man is being detained at Tallaght garda station under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Drug Trafficking Act.
