Search resumes for missing Carlingford Lough kayaker

A search for a missing 37-year-old man on Carlingford Lough is due to resume later.

The Irish coastguard say they are taking Mark McGowan's disappearance "very seriously". He was last seen on Monday evening.

Kilkeel lifeboat and the South Down coastguard rescue team have also been assisting with the operation.

Police have appealed to anyone who saw Mark or a blue kayak in the area to come forward.

He is described as being 5ft 7ins tall, of medium build with a tanned complexion.

He has short, bleached blonde hair and was last seen wearing a red jacket, blue jeans and white trainers.
