Man dies after collision with tram in Dublin

A man has died after being struck by a LUAS tram in Dublin this evening.

It happened on Steeven's Lane in Kilmainham, close to the Heuston stop, at around 4.30pm this afternoon.

The man, who was 35, and a pedestrian, was pronounced dead at the scene and is body has been removed to the city morgue.

The road is currently closed to facilitate a forensic collision examination.

LUAS red line services are now only running between Saggart and Tallaght, and Blackhorse.
