Man injured in Dublin stabbing incident

A 22-year-old man has been arrested after an elderly man was injured in a stabbing incident in Dublin.

The knife attack happened just after 8am at Iona Villas in Glasnevin. The injured man, who is in his mid-70s, was taken to The Mater Hospital.

His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

A man was arrested close to the scene shortly afterwards and is being held at Store Street Garda Station.
