Romanian man due in court in connection with Galway murder
A 37-year-old Romanian man is due back before a court in Galway today, in connection with the murder of publican John Kenny.
A woman in her 60s, who was arrested yesterday, remains in garda custody today.
Last weekend Romanian Florin Fitzpatrick, of The Green, College Road, Galway, was charged over withholding information in the case.
He was remanded in custody to appear before Harristown District Court again today.
At the initial court hearing, details were given about Mr Fitzpatrick's circumstances who has two Irish-born children and is separated from his wife.
Meanwhile, Gardaí are continuing to question a woman in her 60s over Mr Kenny's death in Oughterard, over a week ago.
She is being held at Mill St Garda Station, under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
Four men and a woman in her 30s have so far been released without charge over the case.
A number of files are being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
56-year-old John Kenny was found dead in his pub, with his hands tied behind his back.
