Two armed raiders entered the Bank of Ireland on Kilkee's Main St at around 2.15pm today brandishing a sawn-off shotgun and a knife.

The culprits made their getaway on a high-powered motorbike..

Superintendent Gerry Wall from Kilrush garda station told Clare FM that members of the public may have seen them.

One man was wearing a silver helmet, white gloves and green jacket. The other raider wore a grey jacket and black golves.
