Man for court in connection with Kildare drugs seizure

A man in his 40s is due to appear at Carlow District Court this morning charged in relation to a drugs seizure in Kildare on Tuesday.

A second man aged in his 50s who was also arrested in connection with this investigation has released without charge.

Gardaí stopped a van on the M7 close to Kildare town on Tuesday night where they discovered 3.5kg of cocaine and 10kg of cannabis resin with an estimated street value of €315,000.
