Two arrested in connection with Kenny killing

The two men who were arrested in connection with the killing of John Kenny have been released without charge by Galway gardaí today.

The 17-year-old and a man in his 30s were being held at Mill Street garda station in Galway. A file is now being prepared for the DPP.

John Kenny (aged 56) was found dead with his hands tied behind his back at his pub in Oughterard on September 25.

A post mortem found that he died following injuries sustained during a serious assault.

A woman in her early 30s arrested last night in Claregalway remains in custody.

Over the weekend, a 37-year-old man was charged with withholding information in relation to the investigation.
