Thieves use JCB to steal Kilkenny post-office safe

Thieves have used a JCB to steal a safe from a post office in Co Kilkenny.

The digger was stolen in Co Carlow overnight and driven to the premises in Castlecomber, where it was used to ram the wall of the post office.

Gardaí say the break-in happened between 6am and 6.30am today. They are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
