Court convicts Galway woman of pensioner's murder
A Galway woman accused of beating a Newry pensioner to death with a crucifix on Christmas Day three years ago has been found guilty of murder.
Karen Walsh was handed a life sentence at Belfast Crown Court for killing 81-year-old Maire Rankin at her Dublin Road home in the early hours of Christmas in 2008.
