A 49-year-old Kildare man has admitted killing a young mother in Athy last May.

Michael McDonald of Barnhill Road, Castledermot appeared at the Central Criminal Court today and pleaded not guilty to murder, but guilty to the manslaughter of Breda Cummins at Michael Dooley Terrace in Athy.
