Gardaí are investigating after a five-year-old girl was killed in a house fire overnight in Boyle, Co Roscommon.

Gardaí are investigating after a five-year-old girl was killed in a house fire overnight in Boyle, Co Roscommon.

The fire was discovered at Termon road between 2.30am and 3am this morning.

A man in his 40s and two other children aged three and four escaped from the house.

They have been taken to Sligo General Hospital and the house is sealed off pending a full examination.
