Romanian national Florin Fitzpatrick, with an address at 16 The Green, College Road, Galway appeared at a special sitting of Galway District Court this afternoon.

The court heard how Mr Fitzpatrick was living in Ireland for the past 10 years and was a separated father of two Irish children.

He previously worked as a security guard at the bus station in Galway City for seven years.
