Gardaí have released two people without charge after they were questioned in connection with a gun attack in Dublin last week.

The victim, a man in his 20s, suffered serious injuries when he was shot several times in a laneway off the Harold's Cross Road on September 20.

A man in his 20s and a woman in her 30s were arrested yesterday evening in the south Dublin area.

They have now been released from custody and gardaí say the investigation is ongoing.
