Gardaí are hunting for two armed men who held up a post office in Co Meath earlier today.

The pair entered the premises in Drumconrath around 10 am, brandishing guns and demanding cash.

They escaped in a red car, believed to be a Volkswagen Golf with English registration plates.

Gardaí say that a sum of cash was taken, but no shots were fired during the incident and nobody was hurt.
