Hospital seeks court order to allow blood transfusion for premature baby
The Coombe Hospital is seeking a High Court order allowing them to give a premature baby a blood transfusion.
The child's parents are Jehovah's Witnesses and object to the procedure on religious grounds.
The baby girl, who weighs less than a kilogram, is not believed to be in any immediate danger, but the Coombe hospital wants an order in place to allow for a blood transfusion in case there are any complications.
