Bruton: Some interest in buying MBNA facility in Leitrim

The Jobs Minister Richard Bruton has said there have been some "positive expressions of interest" in the MBNA credit card facility in Carrick-on-Shannon, County Leitrim.

Its parent company Bank of America announced last month that it was exiting the Irish and UK credit card business.

Efforts are underway to find a buyer and protect the jobs of 750 people employed at the Leitrim site.
