Govt announces €1.1m Bus Éireann upgrade

The Minister for Transport, Leo Varadkar has announced a €1.1m upgrade of Bus Éireann vehicles and facilities, including the installation of wi-fi on buses.

The Minister for Transport, Leo Varadkar has announced a €1.1m upgrade of Bus Éireann vehicles and facilities, including the installation of wi-fi on buses.

Minister Varadkar confirmed that the funding will also be used to install 'real-time' displays at eight bus stations around Ireland, to provide up-to-the-minute service information and upgrade 30 buses in Cork, Limerick, Galway and Waterford.

Up to 25 new bus shelters on commuter routes will be upgraded or replaced.
