McGivern: No contact from HSE after daughter's transplant op

Meadbh McGivern's father Joe has said they have had no contact from the HSE about transporting her home after her life-saving liver transplant in London.

The Leitrim teenager underwent surgery last week after missing out on an operation in July because a flight could not be arranged on time.

Earlier this week, it was reported the HSE would not be offering Meadbh transport home, but the Executive did promise to do all it can to help.

Mr McGivern said he has not heard from the HSE, but something has to be done for Meadbh and others like her.
