Gardaí in Clondalkin are today seeking witnesses to a serious assault which occurred at approximately 3.30am on Sunday, September 11 on Monastery Walk, Clondalkin, Dublin.

Gardaí in Clondalkin are today seeking witnesses to a serious assault which occurred at approximately 3.30am on Sunday, September 11 on Monastery Walk, Clondalkin, Dublin.

A 19-year-old woman sustained serious injuries during the assault and was taken to Tallaght Hospital, where she received treatment.

The assailant is described as being male, in his 20s, between 5’6’’ and 6’ tall of athletic build with short hair. It is believed that he received injuries to his face during the assault.

Gardaí are anxious to speak to a man seen in the area around the time who may be able to assist with the investigation.

He is described as being in his mid-20s and believed to be wearing a blue Italian rugby or football top.

Gardaí also wish to appeal for witnesses who may have been in the area of Monastery Road / Monastery Walk between approximately 3.15am and 3.45am and who may have seen anything unusual or suspicious.
