AIB has said that it has not yet engaged in debt forgiveness for any mortgage holder, but would be keen to see the measure used in the future.

AIB has said that it has not yet engaged in debt forgiveness for any mortgage holder, but would be keen to see the measure used in the future.

The bank's chairman David Hodgkinson said AIB have repossessed "less than 20" homes from owner occupiers - just one of those this year.
