More than 300 on hospital trolleys
Overcrowding continues to be a problem at hospitals throughout the country.
The latest Trolley Watch figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation shows that there are currently 301 patients waiting on chairs and trolleys in Emergency Departments today.
The worst affected hospitals include Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda in Co Louth were 44 patients are awaiting admission and University College Hospital in Galway where 31 people are waiting for a bed.
