A company which provides Catholic pre-marriage courses is updating its class material, including discussing the effects of pornography with couples planning to marry.

A company which provides Catholic pre-marriage courses is updating its class material, including discussing the effects of pornography with couples planning to marry.

Avalon said addiction, in-laws, sharing the household chores and pornography are all likely to be discussed with couples these days.

Relationship Counsellor David Kavanagh designed the course and said:

"Pornography is one of those things that has become so mainstream that people don't even really think about whether or not it's good for the relationship…

"We point out to them that the newer science is that brains are changed as a result of looking at pornography and that isn’t necessarily a good thing for a relationship."
