Minister calls for review of former politicians' pensions

Minister For Social Protection Joan Burton has today called on the Taoiseach to review payments to former politicians in light of current economic conditions.

Minister Burton made the comments in response to media reports that Bertie Ahern had received €270,000 in expenses since stepping down as Taoiseach in 2008.
