Figures due out from the Central Bank tomorrow are expected to show a dramatic rise in the number of people unable to repay their mortgage.

It comes after the Tánaiste Eamon Gilmore ruled out the possibility that a debt forgiveness scheme could be introduced for distressed mortgage holders last week.
