The Government has announced that it is giving €100,000 to help deliver humanitarian supplies to Libya.

The Tánaiste Eamon Gilmore said Ireland would provide the funds to the International Red Cross to help bring medical supplies to some of the city’s main hospitals.

The money announced today brings the value of the Government’s response to the crisis in Libya to almost €1.3m.
