Protest due at Dublin Bus headquarters

A lunchtime protest will take place outside the headquarters of Dublin Bus on O'Connell street today against ongoing changes to routes and services.

It comes after the National Transport Authority approved plans last week by Dublin Bus to axe the Number 19 route, despite widespread opposition.

Campaigners are calling on Dublin Bus management to speak directly to customers to determine how best to continue what they say are vital bus services across the city.

John Lyons, spokesperson for the Save Our Bus Services group, said that older people in particular are badly affected by cuts to routes and services.
