Eason management and union officials to attend LRC talks
Management at Eason and union officials are to attend talks at the Labour Relations Commission next week.
It has being reported today the book shop group is planning to cut up to 90 jobs, impose a 10% pay reduction and close up to nine of the 63 nationwide stores.
The company says it wants to achieve cost savings in the region of €8m, as part of a new strategic plan.
Eason says it is anxious to explore all staff cost saving avenues with union representatives, and no viable ideas or proposals will be dismissed.
