An inquest has heard that a 71-year-old man died four days after an altercation at a Co Dublin nursing home last August.

There was evidence Patrick Declan Kinsella was tipped out of his wheelchair and beaten by a 96- year-old fellow resident at Annabeg Nursing Home in Ballybrack in a row about turning off a light switch.

The coroner found the pensioner died of complications from a bone fracture.

A file was sent to the DPP but there was no prosecution.
