Rail services are returning to normal in Dublin after a suspect device was found at Strandville Avenue, in the north inner city earlier.

Rail services are returning to normal in Dublin after a suspect device was found at Strandville Avenue, in the north inner city earlier.

Gardaí say the alarm was raised just before 11am this morning - and the army bomb unit is attending the scene.

It is understood a number of historical grenades were discovered at a derelict house.

Residents in the immediate vicinity have been evacuated as a precaution while the devices are removed for examination - but gardaí say there is no immediate risk to the public.
