An estimated 30 people were injured this afternoon after a double decker bus toppled over close to Belfast's Central Station.

An estimated 30 people were injured this afternoon after a double decker bus toppled over close to Belfast's Central Station.

None of the injuries are believed to be serious but some passengers were reportedly put on spinal boards, and cutting equipment is understood to have been used to free the driver.

Six A&E ambulances attended the scene at East Bridge St supported by rapid response paramedics. The injured were removed to four hospitals in the city.

The Albertbridge Road and Oxford Street were closed following the incident.
