Car set alight in driveway of Meath home

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a car was set alight in the driveway of a house in Co Meath overnight.

A BMW jeep was parked close to the entrance of the Foxlodge Woods housing estate in Ratoath when it was set on fire at about 11pm last night.

Nobody was in the car or nearby home at the time, but the house was badly damaged, as was the neighbouring property.

Investigating officers are appealing for anyone with information to contact Ashbourne garda station.
