Traffic restrictions in place in west Dublin

Garda are advising motorists of traffic restrictions in Blanchardstown in west Dublin.

Road closures and restrictions will be in place around the village from today and will remain until the end of the month to facilitate works.

The Castleknock Road will be closed from Roselawn Road for traffic travelling towards Main St in the village, except for residents of this part of Castleknock Road including Woodpark.

Main St in Blanchardstown will be closed to all traffic approaching the village at the Castleknock Road junction from today until August 15.

After that, two-way traffic will be maintained along the part of Main St between the Castleknock Road junction and the River Road junction.

In addition the westbound traffic lane between the Castleknock Road junction and the River Road junction to be closed to traffic.

Alternative routes include the N3 Blanchardstown bypass and the Castleknock Road, Roselawn Road and Clonsilla Road.
