Navy detain vessel over breach of fishing rules

A Belgian-registered fishing vessel has been detained by the Naval vessel, the LE Ciara, off the Wexford coast.

The vessel was around 25 miles south-west of Tuskar Rock when it was detained late last night in relation to an alleged breach of fishing regulations.

It was taken to Rosslare Harbour and an investigation is underway.
