Building society demands return of €11k Fingleton watch
Former Irish Nationwide boss Michael Fingleton has been ordered to give back a designer watch worth more than €11,000, given to him by the building society.
The now State-owned institution gave him the watch as a parting gift in April 2009, at a time when it was under the guarantee of the State, and weeks after it announced losses of €243m for the previous year.
But Anglo Irish Bank chief Mike Aynsley, who is responsible for Irish Nationwide since the two merged, has written to Mr Fingleton, demanding the return of the watch or cash instead.
