Post worker and family abducted in Louth tiger kidnapping

Gardaí in Co Louth are appealing for witnesses to the abduction of an An Post official, his partner and their child from a house in Drogheda.
At around 10pm last night a number of men, at least one of whom was armed, entered the official's house.
The men stayed there until this morning when the official was forced to go to the Post Office at West Street in Drogheda, take a sum of money and hand it over.
Shortly after 1pm this afternoon the man's partner and child were released unharmed at Damastown, Dublin 15.
During the course of the morning Gardaí became aware of the incident and a comprehensive response team was put in place.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
