Woman arrested after body found at Galway house

Gardaí in Salthill garda station are today investigating all the circumstances following the discovery of the body of a male in his 50s.

The body was found at an apartment complex on Upper Salthill in Galway at approximately 10.30pm last night.

The scene has been preserved and the Garda Technical Bureau and the Office of the State Pathologist has been notified.

A woman in her 30s was arrested at the scene and is currently detained at Galway garda station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
