Man killed in Kildare hit-and-run

A man in his 60s has been killed in a hit-and-run incident in Co Kildare, it has emerged today.

It happened in Sallins village at around midnight.

The man was rushed to Naas General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Gardaí have launched a full investigation.

The road is closed pending a technical examination.
