Overall decrease in crime recorded in past three months

Ireland has seen an overall decrease in crime in the past three months (Q2), official figures showed today.

New figures from the Central Statistics Office (CSO) show that sexual offences were down 37% from 667 in Q2 2010 to 416 in Q2 2011.
