Members of the Oireachtas Committee on Health and Children will visit Ireland's first purpose-built children's hospice today.

The new Laura Lynn House is located at the Children's Sunshine Home in Foxrock, Co Dublin.

Committee members will be given a tour and will meet with staff and the children to see its day-to-day work.

The Children's Sunshine Home Hospice Project and the Laura Lynn Foundation came together in 2006 to bring comfort and support to families in Ireland.

Their aim is to enhance end-of-life services to children with life-limiting conditions.
