Books of condolence for the victims of the Norway tragedies have just been opened in Dublin.

Members of the public can sign them between 10am and 4pm until Saturday at the Mansion House and at City Hall, while another book is open at the Norwegian embassy.

Anders Breivik has confessed to the bombing in Oslo and the shooting spree at a nearby island, the death tolls from which currently stand at 76.

Last night, around 150,000 people gathered in Oslo for a candlelight vigil to remember the victims, while Norway's Justice Minister praised police for "fantastic" work after critics accused officers of being slow to react.
