Man due in Limerick court in connection with pipe bomb incident

A 19-year-old man will appear before Limerick District Court today in connection with a pipe bomb incident in the city.

A 19-year-old man will appear before Limerick District Court today in connection with a pipe bomb incident in the city.

Gardaí have charged him in relation to the incident that happened on May 15 this year.

The device was thrown into a house on Greenmount Avenue, Ballinacurra Weston but failed to ignite.

The man was arrested two days ago and was detained at Roxboro Road Garda Station under section 30 of The Offences Against The State Act.

He is the second man to be charged for this offence.
