FG TD wants Bishop to appear before Justice Committee

Fine Gael TD Charlie Flanagan is calling on Bishop John Magee to answer questions raised by the Cloyne report in front of the Justice Committee.

Last night the Laois-Offaly Deputy revealed on Twitter that he had written to the Chair of the Committee, requesting Bishop Magee be invited to attend a meeting.

Last week, in the wake of the publication of the report into child sexual abuse in the diocese of Cloyne, Deputy Flanagan called for the Papal Nuncio to be expelled from Ireland.
