School response makes me sick to my stomach, says sex abuse victim
Derek Mulligan has said that the response from the school, where the caretaker who had abused him worked, makes him "sick to his stomach".
Coláiste Cholmcille in Gweedore, where convicted paedophile Michael Ferry had worked, released a statement yesterday.
The school expressed their deepest sympathy to Derek Mulligan but disputed as "factually incorrect" many details of the case.
Mr Mulligan said that he does not accept this apology and insisted that Ferry's other victims felt the same way.
"It made me sick to my stomach," he said. "It made no sense, not for any of us.
"I don't accept their apology at all. Neither do the rest of the victims accept their apology. I want justice now - I want to see them admit to being wrong instead of giving us lie after lie."
