There is some good news on the jobs front in Cork and Dublin today.

Fifty new jobs are being created in Dublin by international health insurer, Allianz Worldwide.

These new positions will be in the areas of customer service, IT, nurse advisors, finance, marketing and claims.

Some of the positions will require language proficiencies such as fluent French, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Dutch and Arabic.

It brings to 150 the number of jobs created by the company here over the past year.

Global pharmaceutical company Sangart is creating 120 manufacturing jobs at a new facility in Carrigtwohill in Co Cork.

A further 125 jobs are to be created during the construction phase of the project.

The investment is being supported by the Government and IDA Ireland.
