Ireland can lead the way by encouraging a European-wide Criminal Assets Bureau to target international crime “godfathers”, Justice Minister Alan Shatter said.

At the Justice and Home Affairs meeting in Poland, the Fine Gael Minister said it was vital that European authorities agree on a more effective and speedy response to drug trafficking across the continent.
